Free Nature Photography Workshop (Ages 14+)
IMAgEN8 is a registered charity dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between New Zealand’s diverse communities and the natural environment through education, photography, and technology. We run nature photography workshops in schools and nature reserves, helping tamariki and rangatahi connect with nature, enhance their wellbeing, develop new skills, and become environmental stewards through creative expression.
About the Workshop
This free nature photography workshop, funded by COGS Auckland City, provides teens (ages 14–18) with hands-on experience using digital SLR cameras.
Participants will:
- Learn how to use a digital SLR camera for nature photography
- Receive expert guidance on both technical and artistic aspects of photography
- Get digital copies of their best photos
- Have their work published in books and Compassionate Nature magazine
Expert Guidance
IMAgEN8’s professional photography tutors bring a wealth of experience, styles, and perspectives. They are friendly, fun, and passionate, making learning both engaging and inspiring. In a small group of nature and photography enthusiasts, you’ll gain confidence using a professional-grade camera while exploring the beauty of the natural world.
Join us and capture nature through a new lens!
The group will meet in front of the Visitor Center (car park side) and take a walk around the gardens.
