Nature’s Pharmacy: Exploring Medicinal Plants of spring
Join Medical Herbalist Emily Boese (BNatMed, MNZAMH) on a plant walk to learn all about the medicinal plants that grow wild all around us, and about those that you could grow in your backyard or balcony.
In this session, we will go over 4-5 different medicinal plants that are ready to be harvested during spring, including information on how to identify the plants, and how to grow, harvest, prepare, and use them safely and sustainably.
We will be running other sessions seasonally to grow your knowledge of useful plants throughout the year, so keep an eye out for these on our website.
Emily will start this walk at Huakaikawa visitor centre.
