Painting workshop with Artist in Residence Neal Palmer
Neal will be demonstrating a selection of painting techniques that he regularly uses to create his own work, then participants will use those techniques to produce a closeup botanical work of their own. The emphasis will be on experimental mark making focusing on the texture and form of botanical subjects.
Neal will be working with acrylic paints on paper and aluminum board. Materials will be provided but participants are welcome to bring brushes and acrylic paints if they would prefer to use their own.
The session will run from 10am-12pm (bring lunch for a break at 12 for an optional afternoon session running until 2.00 for those who can stay longer).
