Polysol Dye & Lino Workshop
In this workshop you will begin by painting liquid polysol dye onto paper, allowing it to dry then transferring the brilliant colour by ironing it onto fabric. We will use plant material to make the colour in some areas.
Next you will choose a design to cut into lino – it may be a butterfly, gecko, frog, weta, fish or flower – and begin to carve this with lino cutting tools.
Finally, you print your cut lino piece onto the fabric using fabric inks.
This workshop is being run in conjunction with the ‘Towards Predator Free 2050’ exhibition.
All materials supplied. Open to adults and teens.
