Cherry blossom Watch
Keeping an eye on the arrival of the 'Awanui' cherry blossom
It is time of year our much loved grove of 'Awanui' cherries come into blossom creating a magical spring celebration.
This page will keep you up to date on how they are looking:
10 October: The trees on the edges of the grove are all in blossom but the ones in the middle are still to really show. A few more days for them. It's feeling a bit like this will not be a truly spectacular season, perhaps a result of the dry summer, but any visit will still be rewarded with some lovely blossom.

03 October: Still to reach their peak...

_
28 September: here they come, should be looking good next week!

_
22 September: things are starting to happen and there is some colour appearing in the buds but it's a few days yet from the spectacle we are looking forward to.

--
14 September: still no sign of colour on the trees with the first buds yet to unfurl. Looking like the end of the month will be when the action begins.
